The 8th National Logistics Olympiad has entered its decisive phase. The students who passed the regional stage will compete at the national level. This is the grand final, for which only 59 of nearly 7,500 young logistics students qualified. Magdalena Słabicka also secured a place in the final stage – she is a final-year student at the Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych in Bolesławiec.
The stakes in the final include tuition-free studies at the Wyższa Szkoła Logistyki, places in internships and traineeships at leading logistics companies, and material prizes funded by the Olympiad’s sponsors. On the way to the prizes, the contestants still have to answer the final problem-based questions, which test not only their knowledge but, above all, their ability to apply it in specific professional situations.
After the final competition, the participants will attend one more important event – a ceremonial gala announcing the results and presenting the prizes, which will take place on 15 April 2016 at the Wyższa Szkoła Logistyki in Poznań. This special meeting of students, parents, teachers and representatives of companies supporting the Olympiad is full of emotion, joy and unforgettable experiences.
The National Logistics Olympiad has been organised by the Wyższa Szkoła Logistyki since 2008. Its aim is to stimulate and develop students’ interest in logistics and to promote talented students among potential employers. The Olympiad is the only thematic logistics competition in Poland whose finalists are exempt from the written part of the vocational examination. The honorary patron of the Olympiad is the Minister of National Education. Its substantive patrons are the Instytut Logistyki i Magazynowania and the Polskie Towarzystwo Logistyczne.
