On 9 December, officers from the Traffic Division conducted checks in the Zgorzelec municipality. In Studniska Dolne, the police noticed a passenger-car driver whose manner of driving immediately aroused the officers’ suspicions about his sobriety.

It turned out that the 36-year-old resident of the Zgorzelec municipality had as much as 3 per mille of alcohol in his system. It also emerged that the man did not have a licence to drive vehicles.

The 36-year-old now faces up to 2 years in prison, a heavy fine, and even a lifetime ban on driving.
