A new specialist CIBES A5000 elevator, adapted to the needs of people with disabilities, has been commissioned at the District Special School Complex in Bolesławiec. The investment cost over PLN 70,000 and was made possible by funding from the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities and the Bolesławiec District Office.
The new elevator was manufactured in Sweden. It can carry a maximum of five people (400 kg). The elevator has special safety features designed for people with disabilities. The contractor for the investment is Henryk Jabłoński, while the subcontractor is Andrzej Borusiewicz.
The installation and commissioning of the new elevator are part of a program to eliminate architectural barriers. Special ramps were installed to make it easier for people with disabilities to move around the building. The doors were also replaced and the bathrooms renovated. A total of more than PLN 135,000 was spent on the latest investments.
