On Saturday, TOP Bolesławiec played another match in the second round of the Lower Silesian fourth-league competition. Our team’s opponents were AKS Strzegom. The first two sets belonged to the visitors. Our players made many errors. Missed serves and problems with receiving the ball meant that our volleyball players were unable to put up a fight against the players from Strzegom. It was only in the third set that the Bolesławiec players managed to “recover”. TOP took the lead at the beginning of the set. Later, the game became more even, and the fans witnessed a very exciting finale. Wojtek Marcinkiewicz’s introduction, several effective attacks by Piotr Kozłowski and an effective block enabled TOP to win the third set 25:23.
In the fourth set, our team played with flair. Darek Pierzchalski’s attacks were impossible for the visitors to defend. The Bolesławiec players maintained their lead throughout and did not relinquish it, winning 25:21. In the final, deciding clash, our volleyball players began making the same errors as in the first and second sets. Reception and serving failed once again. Despite the deafening support of the local fans, TOP unfortunately lost to the visitors from Strzegom 11:15 and lost the entire match 2:3.
