The office represents people injured in accidents before insurance companies and the Insurance Guarantee Fund. It helps both accident victims and their families. It cooperates with law firms and doctors treating injured people.
Ronin Office does not use the services of “intermediaries” who harass people injured in random events in hospitals, at cemeteries and in their homes, persuading them to sign agreements. People, often under the influence of emotions or medication, sign agreements that are extremely disadvantageous to them.
Representatives of this type of ambulance chaser, who offer the services of unknown law firms from distant cities at cemeteries or in hospitals, should be rejected first. If someone has no respect for an accident victim and their family, it is difficult to expect them to show respect to the victim and their family later as clients.i.
It is important to remember that an injured person does not have to seek compensation immediately after an accident. They have time to do so. Depending on the basis of the claim, this is between 3 and 20 years. In some situations, a claim may even be made for damage incurred since 10 August 1997.
The effectiveness of the Ronin Office is demonstrated by the facts—the compensation amounts obtained for injured people. It is enough to mention the record compensation of PLN 2.7 million, which Zbigniew Zawada’s Office obtained for its client. The pre-trial proceedings in this case lasted over a year. The court proceedings lasted over two years. The insurer did not attempt to reach a settlement, paying the injured person only PLN 4,000. Later, it had to pay much, much more. Another example is compensation for the family of two people who died in an accident in the 1990s. Despite the passage of many years, as a result of the actions of employees of Biuro Ronin – Zbigniew Zawada, followed by his lawyers, PLN 910,000 in compensation for the harm suffered was obtained for four family members of the accident victims. Due to the circumstances of the accident, the State Treasury is obliged to pay the compensation. It is worth remembering that the Ronin Office handles more than just compensation resulting from road accidents. Compensation can also be sought for workplace accidents, claims against employers, random events, damage to or destruction of property and other tragic events.
Among the most recent cases concluded and paid by insurers in 2015:
- an insurance company paid an elderly person, a victim of a road accident, PLN 3,000. After the case was concluded, the final additional amount received by the injured person was PLN 34,000,
- the same company insured a young couple’s construction of their own dream detached house. The construction was flooded during torrential rain. The insurer paid the derisory amount of PLN 1,200. Thanks to the office’s work, the total amount paid was PLN 42,000.
- in one of Bolesławiec’s supermarkets, a young woman was struck by automatic doors and suffered bodily injuries. The supermarket management refused to pay any benefits. The woman obtained PLN 10,000 and the defendant’s future liability was established. Despite the judgment becoming final, the supermarket did not pay the amounts due to the injured woman. All amounts were paid by the supermarket in enforcement proceedings after an application was submitted to a bailiff’s office.
- a person injured in a road accident in 2012 received PLN 8,000 from the insurer. As of today, the court has awarded an additional PLN 75,000. The judgment is not final.
The Ronin Office offers free consultations, legal support and the lowest commission on the market. Importantly for an injured person, the transfer from the insurer goes directly to their account. The office also provides medical assessments, vehicle valuations, court and out-of-court proceedings. The office may also participate in the costs of the proceedings.
