This year’s final of the “Together More Safely” Police Knowledge Competition was hosted by the Voluntary Labour Corps and the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec. The event received the honorary patronage of Bolesławiec Commune Head Andrzej Dutkowski, who, among other things, funded an award for the best participant.

The aim of the competition is to familiarise participants with the specifics of police service. Young people learn how to act in situations when they become victims or witnesses of a crime. Tournament participants are made aware of the dangers they may encounter in everyday life.

The competition consisted of two parts: a written part (a knowledge test) and an oral group part. Among other things, the young people had to demonstrate general knowledge of police work, road safety and addiction prevention.

Teams from Kamienna Góra, Mysłakowice, Jelenia Góra and Bolesławiec took part in the final. After two stages of competition, the committee (comprising Police Superintendent Anna Nęcka and Staff Sergeant Beata Borowicz from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, as well as Senior Sergeant Paweł Klimek, deputy head of the Prevention Department of the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec) selected the winning teams:

  1. First team from OHP Mysłakowice
  2. First team from OHP Bolesławiec
  3. Second team from OHP Bolesławiec.

The best participant in the competition was also recognised: Mateusz Kukieła from OHP in Mysłakowice.

The Bolesławiec winners were prepared for the competition by Police Sergeant Beata Łuczkowska and Senior Sergeant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska.
