The current list of social scholarships was approved by the Bolesławiec County Board. The scholarship assistance covers the period of study during the 2006/2007 school year and is granted for a maximum of 10 months. As part of this project, 590 students will receive average monthly financial support of PLN 100 per month. The District Office has already transferred the scholarship payments to the accounts of upper-secondary schools. Scholarships covering the period from September through November should reach the scholarship recipients’ accounts in the coming days.

To receive the scholarship, students must attend classes, as confirmed by a certificate signed by the school principal—the non-negotiable monthly limit is 8 unexcused hours of absence. Each scholarship recipient is required to submit, once, a declaration that the scholarship will be used for educational purposes. Scholarship recipients are also required to provide, at the end of the school year, a photocopy of their certificate of completion of the grade or secondary school-leaving certificate (for students in their final year).

Attention: applications for scholarships for upper-secondary school students are still being accepted. Students can collect application forms and submit documents at the Project Office every day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; tel. 075 732 0956.

The scholarships are paid under Measure 2.2, “Equalizing educational opportunities through scholarship programmes,” of the Integrated Regional Operational Programme, from the resources of the European Social Fund and the state budget.
