The Faurecia plant in the Legnickie Pole municipality has been expanded with a new production hall, where modern decorative components for the automotive industry will be manufactured. The company’s new investment will also create 175 new jobs. On Monday, November 2, the ceremonial opening of the hall took place, attended by, among others, Tomasz Pronin – the plant director, Rafał Jurkowlaniec – president of the Legnica Special Economic Zone, and Henryk Babuśka – head of the Legnickie Pole municipality.
“We built the new hall in five months. It will be the first place in the world where the group begins producing wooden decorative components for the automotive industry. In this way, we are reaching another level in the company’s development, becoming one of the largest and most innovative investors in the Legnica zone,” Tomasz Pronin said during the opening.
Faurecia is present in the LSSE at two locations – in Legnica, on Jaworzyńska Street, and on a plot of more than 5 hectares in Gniewomierz. The company has operated in the Legnica zone since 2001 and employs more than 880 people in total at its two plants.
“The company’s new investment involved expanding the existing plant. The group has built a hall that it will equip with a series of modern production lines for manufacturing innovative products for the automotive industry. This is good news for people seeking employment. Thanks to the investment, which cost several dozen million zlotys, the company will employ 175 people,” Rafał Jurkowlaniec said.
The Gniewomierz factory opened in July 2013, becoming the group’s tenth plant in Poland. The company is a globally recognized manufacturer of interior components for passenger cars. The Gniewomierz plant produces decorative components for premium passenger cars and off-road vehicles.
