The moving ceremony took place before Thursday’s All Souls’ Day blues concert. The long-standing organizer of workshops and concerts, Krystyna Juszkiewicz received the Gloria Artis Medal. The award was presented by Tadeusz Samborski, a member of the board of the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
The “Meritorious for Polish Culture Gloria Artis” Medal is a Polish medal awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage to a person or institution distinguished in the field of artistic creation, cultural activity, or the protection of culture and national heritage. The medal is a particularly prestigious distinction, honoring outstanding contributions to culture.
