The District Prosecutor in Bolesławiec has filed an indictment with the District Court against Bronisław W., a 44-year-old resident of Bolesławiec. The man is accused of repeatedly raping the 14-year-old daughter of his new wife from early 2003 until August 2005, attempting to commit the act several times, showing pornographic material to the minor, and physically and psychologically abusing his wife. Bronisław W. also allegedly threatened the girl that, if she told anyone about it, he would place her and her sisters in an orphanage.
The accused did not admit to committing the alleged acts and explained that the case was a form of revenge by his wife, while the minor victim and the other children were saying what she told them to say.
At the prosecutor’s request, Bronisław W. was remanded in temporary custody. For the crimes he is accused of, he faces a prison sentence of between 2 and 12 years. In the past, Bronisław W. had already been convicted by a court of driving while intoxicated.
