The photography exhibition by Andrzej Małek and Krzysztof Gwizdała consists of 14 photographs arranged in pairs. Bolesławiec on one side, Paris on the other. Visitors can see that the two cities may be similar. The exhibition makes it easier to reject established ways of thinking and perceiving reality. It shows that our surroundings can be whatever we create them to be. The film "Paris, je t’aime", shown at the end of the evening, reinforced this belief. The film consists of several short episodes telling various stories set in the capital, known as the "beauty with a hundred faces". The final story is about an American tourist in Paris who went on a six-day trip. For five days, she asked herself various questions: what had happened to her life, her love and her loved ones, and whether she felt fulfilled, lonely or happy. For five days, she visited tourist attractions. On the last day, in a Parisian park, she realized that she loved Paris and that Paris loved her.
The photography exhibition, lecture and film "Paris, je t’aime" were all part of the conclusion of the year-long "Me, You, Us – Creator" project, carried out at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre by Grażyna Ferensowicz. The aim of the entire project was to strengthen respect for art. Participants took part in many activities, such as making short films, which allowed them to experience how art is created.
The exhibition is available at Orzeł Cinema. In a week, it will be possible to view it on Boleslawiec.org.
