The ceremony was attended by local government officials from Zgorzelec County, school principals, representatives of the services, former and current teachers, students, parents and alumni.
Among the invited guests was also the Zgorzelec County head Artur Bieliński and the director of the Department of Education, Culture and Sport, Bogusława Witkowska.
On the occasion of the milestone anniversary, the principal and the entire school community received many heartfelt thanks, warm words and wishes for perseverance and prosperity over the next seventy years. Recalling his own years at the school, County Head Artur Bieliński congratulated everyone on the anniversary and wished them many successes.
The official celebrations concluded with an artistic programme performed by the school’s current students.
