The series tells the story of a group of police officers from the Unsolved Cases Department, forming a unit colloquially known as the murder commission. It solves unsolved mysteries from years ago, concerning, for example, the Cursed Soldiers, the history of the Recovered Territories and mysterious cases from the Second World War.

Unsolved cases from years ago will be investigated by Inspector Alicja Grześkowiak (played by Małgorzata Buczkowska), Deputy Inspector Maciej Stasiński (Krzysztof Pieczyński) and Aspirant Dominik Hertz (Marcel Sabat). They will be joined by Dr Adam Frejncz (Paweł Małaszyński).

This 10-episode series is being produced in Lower Silesia, with co-financing from the Marshal’s Office. Filming is taking place, among other locations, in Wrocław, at the castles in Kliczków and Książ, in the former Soviet areas of Krzywa, in Legnica and Ząbkowice, in the Karkonosze and Sowie Mountains, and at the Riese complex near Wałbrzych. “Komisja morderstw” is directed by Jarosław Marszewski, and the premiere episode is scheduled to air on TVP 2 in autumn 2016.
