The keys to the police cars and the unmarked service vehicle were symbolically handed over to Inspector Zbigniew Markowski, Municipal Police Commander in Jelenia Góra, by: Jelenia Góra Mayor Marcin Zawiła together with Deputy Mayor Jerzy Łużniak, as well as Karpacz Mayor Radosław Jęcek and Jelenia Góra County Governor Anna Konieczyńska together with County Council Chairman Jerzy Pokój.
The vehicles are worth nearly PLN 500,000, and half of their purchase cost was financed from the state budget; the remainder was contributed by the Jelenia Góra City Office and the Karpacz City Office.
As part of the project, five vehicles were purchased, including three police cars, an unmarked service vehicle and a van, which will be handed over to the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra at the end of November this year.
The marked vehicles will go to the Traffic Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra and to police officers in Karpacz, while the unmarked vehicle will go to the Criminal Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters.
