Today, the first city and county council sessions since the elections were held. Councillors of the fifth term (in the city) and third term (in the county) took their oaths of office and elected the chairpersons and deputy chairpersons of the city and county councils. Janina Piestrak-Babijczuk was elected Chairperson of the City Council. Bolesław Nowak was elected Deputy Chairperson of the City Council. It is not yet known who will serve as deputy mayors. Before the second round of the mayoral election, Mayor Piotr Roman named two candidates, Kazimiera Popławska and Janusz Kozioł.
Karol Stasik will serve as Chairperson of the County Council. Jarosław Molenda and Tadeusz Węgrzanowski were elected deputy chairpersons.
The county councillors also elected the starosta and deputy starosta. Cezary Przybylski was elected Starosta of Bolesławiec County. Stanisław Chwojnicki was elected deputy starosta. The county councillors also elected the county executive board. Its members are: Cezary Przybylski, Stanisław Chwojnicki, Jan Kozak and Ewa Potyszka.
