Next Friday, October 16, will feature several exhibition openings and various presentations as part of this impressive event. At 10:00 a.m., a seminar at the Qubus Hotel will begin, devoted to the current situation of contemporary visual artists and titled: “So Close, So Far Away. The Geography of Art in the Age of Globalization.” The meeting will also provide an opportunity to review the changes that have taken place in the local cultural centers of Lower Silesia: Wrocław, Legnica, Głogów, Lubin, Wałbrzych and Jelenia Góra, as well as to discuss the situation of artists creating far from art centers, in the so-called provinces, in the context of processes related to globalization.

Copper Basin Fine Arts Exhibition 1970–2015 – Outdoor exhibition in front of the Gallery of Art - 7:00 p.m. (Gallery of Art, 1 Cathedral Square; RING Gallery, 12 Market Square) – 27th Copper Basin Fine Arts Exhibition – opening and ceremonial presentation of awards to the winners of the regional art review.
