The road accident occurred on October 6, 2015, in the morning, on provincial road No. 350 from Kliczków to Dobra. The 24-year-old resident of Osiecznica commune was driving too fast. He lost control on a bend, ran off the road and hit a tree. The 21-year-old passenger was taken to a hospital in Legnica in serious condition.
Moreover, it emerged that the driver had got behind the wheel with nearly 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
At the request of the District Prosecutor's Office in Bolesławiec, the court ordered the 24-year-old resident of Osiecznica commune to be held in pre-trial detention for three months. The man faces up to 12 years in prison.
