The Bolesławiec Bridge Club “Prnjavor” team retained the lead in the third-tier league standings. Last Saturday and Sunday, the Bolesławiec bridge players played the second round of matches in Brzeg. Both of our teams performed excellently.
The team “Prnjavor” Bolesławiec, leading the competition and playing in the lineup of Artur Winkler, Antoni Ochot, Jarosław Molenda (captain), Jerzy Olenderek and Andrzej Kaźmierczak, scored a total of 82 match points. This overall result consisted of victories over Kolejarz Aspol Wrocław 20:10 and Rokita Brzeg Dolny 20:10, a draw with Zdrowime Kudowa 15:15, as well as two narrow defeats: 14:16 to Gwardia Wrocław and 13:17 to TURBO Wrocław.
In the second round, the “Pogrom” Bolesławiec team performed even better, scoring a total of 89 match points. The team, consisting of Roland Lippik (captain), Ryszard Makuch, Jacek Baranowski, Sławomir Zimniak, Jerzy Zatylny and Jerzy Snopczyński, defeated Kolejarz Wrocław 19:11, Rokita Brzeg Dolny 20:10, Turbo Wrocław 18:12 and Zdrowie Kudowa 18:12 in succession, while suffering a narrow 14:16 defeat to Gwardia Wrocław. As a result, the Pogrom team moved up in the standings and currently occupies 12th place.
The qualifying round will conclude in the new year. After the final meeting in January, the six best teams will compete for promotion to the second tier.
