Every child learns how to cross the road correctly at designated places, which traffic light to use, which side of the road to walk on when there is no pavement, and where it is safe to play without risking being hit by vehicles.

Now, to reinforce this knowledge and once again remind everyone how important road safety is, police officers from the District Police Headquarters in Lubin warmly invite primary schools to participate in an art competition entitled “A Road Sign Will Lead Me to School”.

The aims of the competition are:

  • promoting safe behaviour and movement on public roads
  • making children aware of how important it is for their safety to understand traffic regulations and to know the basic road signs.

KPP Lubin invites all children in third grade at primary schools to draw, paint or sketch road signs—in any size and using any technique. “Additionally, so that children remember what each sign means, the creator of the drawn sign will describe its meaning,” say the competition organizers. “We invite you to learn through play about a subject as important to each of us as safety.”

The details of the competition will be provided in writing to every school in our city.
