Officers from the Criminal Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra, as a result of the actions they carried out, identified and then arrested two men, aged 19 and 22, suspected of robbery involving a dangerous weapon.

The incident occurred at the end of July this year on one of the city buses. In the evening, the victim decided to accompany his girlfriend on her way home. When the woman got off the bus, the attackers began harassing the victim and laughing at him. Finally, one of them threatened him with a knife and demanded that he hand over his mobile phone. Fearing for his life and health, the man handed over the phone. The attackers fled.

The victim notified the police about the attack and also provided descriptions of the attackers. One of them was arrested the following day. It turned out that he was wanted—he was supposed to serve an almost two-year prison sentence for other offences.

The second attacker, a 19-year-old, had been hiding from the police since the crime and was changing his places of residence. Eventually, it came to light that he was in another city. He was arrested there as well.

Both attackers were placed in temporary custody. They face up to 15 years in prison.
