During a press conference attended by county governor Dariusz Kwaśniewski, deputy county governor Marian Haniszewski and full-time member of the Bolesławiec County Board Stanisław Chwojnicki, held on September 22, the county governor spoke, among other things, about road investments. One of the most important is the renovation of county road 2271 D, running from Osiecznica through Świętoszów to the border between Bolesławiec County and Żagań County.
This road—with two bridges—is 23.4 km long. What is the condition for the success of this investment? Obtaining funding from the European Union. “In this case, it is likely,” Dariusz Kwaśniewski assessed. “If everything goes according to plan, this investment will cost PLN 26.2 million. It will be a record for the County. But it is not about setting a record or about the money, but about completing a very, very important road, which should essentially be a provincial road.”
He added: “This is the only county road in Lower Silesia that legally connects to the A18. And that is the basis for applying for EU funds.”
