The Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, present at the conference in Zgorzelec, Cezary Przybylski confirmed that, with the introduction of the new timetable, three direct pairs of trains between Dresden and Wrocław will be restored (operated using German rolling stock).

The Marshal also announced that an agreement permitting Polish trains to enter the border town of Görlitz was being finalized. This will make it possible to launch regional trains from Jelenia Góra and Węgliniec to Germany.

Deputy Minister of Administration and Digitization Stanisław Huskowski also taking part in the conference, announced that from 13 December residents of the western part of Lower Silesia will be able to use a PKP Intercity connection running between Węgliniec and Warszawa Wschodnia (the journey will take approximately 5 hours and 20 minutes), with Zgorzelec connected to Węgliniec by InterCity Bus or trains operated by Koleje Dolnośląskie. Since the beginning of his term, Senator Jan Michalski has been seeking a direct connection between Zgorzelec, Węgliniec and Bolesławiec and the capital.
