Fourteen officers from the criminal, investigative and police staff divisions, as well as a forensic technician from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław and the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica, were commended and awarded for their dedication and exemplary performance of their official duties. Their determination and professionalism contributed to clarifying the circumstances surrounding the murders of two elderly couples and identifying and apprehending a man suspected of these crimes.
The investigative work, given the specific nature of the incidents, their character and, in particular, the perpetrator’s brutal, seemingly motiveless actions, required great dedication and creativity, the examination of numerous leads arising from the information gathered, including findings made outside the country, as well as the analysis and processing of the operational scenarios adopted.
In the presence of their superiors, the officers received their commendations and awards from the first deputy provincial police chief in Wrocław, Insp. Zygmunt Skwierawski, and the municipal police chief in Legnica, Insp. Sławomir Bąk. The Legnica district prosecutor, Łukasz Kudyk, also attended the ceremony.
The provincial police chief in Wrocław requested commendations from the chief of police for four officers.
