– We are all participants in the debate concerning migrants – said Mayor Piotr Roman during the City Council meeting. He added that the Lower Silesian Voivode had asked the Municipal Commune to determine its capacity to accept refugees in Bolesławiec. The local government replied that even the housing needs of Bolesławiec residents “are not being met” and that “there are no real possibilities for settling people in the existing housing stock.”
P. Roman also mentioned that the authorities of Bolesławiec have an ambivalent attitude toward the measures being taken to solve this problem. – We know, after all, that a one-time allowance from the European Union is enough for one month, two at most, but not for living expenses, education, etc. – he noted.
Do you agree with the mayor?
