During a press conference attended by County Head Dariusz Kwaśniewski, Deputy County Head Marian Haniszewski and full-time member of the Bolesławiec County Board Stanisław Chwojnicki, held in the county head’s office on September 22, a question was asked, among other things, about whether the county planned to do anything about Mostowa Street.
– To answer briefly: no – D. Kwaśniewski said. – We have a plan for the most important road investments through the end of the term. Above all, we are interested in projects that have a chance of receiving external funding under the so-called schetynówki programme.
Nevertheless, it turned out that the local government also has a plan to modernize the Dolne Młyny–Mostowa–Ceramiczna street route. – We would like to lay out such a bypass, an alternative to the large bridge, so that it would be possible to cross the Bóbr by the bridge on Mostowa Street – the county head explained. He added that the county government had already reached an agreement on this matter with the City of Bolesławiec. The only question is whether external funding can be obtained for such an investment.
