In 2014, approximately 240,000 women underwent examinations in LUX MED Diagnostyka mammography buses. Each month, the mammography buses visit around 200 towns, carrying out a screening programme for women. “Although mammography is the most effective method of breast cancer prevention, still fewer than half of women have undergone a free examination as part of the Population-Based Early Breast Cancer Detection Programme,” says Dr Małgorzata Cymerman of LUX MED Diagnostyka. “We encourage women to undergo breast cancer prevention examinations, as it is the most common malignant tumour among Polish women.”
LUX MED Diagnostyka invites women in two age groups to undergo free mammography screenings in mammography buses, which will take place on 7 October at the Municipal Cultural and Sports Centre in Gromadka, 9 Szkolna Street.
