This year's All Saints' Day observances in Lower Silesia passed very peacefully. The large number of police officers overseeing travelers' safety, repeated appeals for caution, also issued through the media, and most likely the prudence of the majority of drivers contributed to the fact that on November 1 only 5 road accidents were recorded on Lower Silesia's roads, in which no one died.
In total, over six days, beginning on October 27, 53 accidents were recorded in our voivodeship, in which 81 people were injured. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that only 1 person died during this period, and the accident occurred under unusual circumstances. On the A-4 motorway, a pedestrian was struck by a truck. The man was walking down the middle of the road at night. During the same period, a total of 105 people died in accidents across the country. Over the six days, officers arrested 270 drunk drivers.
