The document being prepared on the city office’s commission by the Wrocław-based company Wroconsult is intended to identify opportunities for the city’s sustainable energy and environmentally friendly development. It will also make it possible to plan the measures the municipality will take in the coming years to protect and improve air quality, and in the future will enable institutions and residents of Zgorzelec to apply for funding for initiatives such as building thermal modernization, the installation of renewable energy systems, the construction of passive/energy-efficient buildings, replacing equipment with energy-efficient models, using waste energy, or modernizing the distribution network, among others.
The surveys prepared by Wroconsult are extremely helpful in developing the plan. “We want the document to be based on the most accurate data possible, because only then will the proposed solutions adopted on its basis genuinely serve to protect and improve air quality in our municipality,” city officials say. “Therefore, we ask you to complete the survey prepared by Wroconsult for the purposes of PONE. It can be obtained at the City Office, room 215 (second floor) or downloaded from: www.wroconsult.pl/pgn/zgorzelec/
