A meeting was held at Primary School No. 1 in Bolesławiec for pupils in grades 1–3 from Bolesławiec primary schools, with representatives of the District Police Headquarters, the Forest District Office and employees of the Energy Concern in Bolesławiec.
The main aim of last week’s meeting was to promote behaviour intended to improve children’s safety on the road, while relaxing in the forest, by the water and in the mountains, when using electrical appliances, and to encourage responsible behaviour in the immediate vicinity of high-voltage equipment.
During the meeting, the pupils eagerly took part in the activities and attended numerous presentations offered by the guests. The youngest participants were particularly interested in demonstrations by police officers showing the consequences of failing to follow basic road-safety rules, such as not using a child safety seat or not wearing seat belts.
The meeting between the pupils and the invited guests was held as part of the nationwide “Stop Accidents” campaign. The Bolesławiec campaign was held under the honorary patronage of the mayor of the city. The campaign was organised by the National Centre for the Promotion of Road Safety and Environmental Protection in Warsaw.
