In the first round of the District Polish Cup, BKS Bolesławiec defeated KS Stare Jaroszowice 6:0 (0:0) away from home and comfortably advanced to the next round. The goals for our team were scored by Graczyk (four), Brożyna and Dzięgleski.
Only in the first half were the hosts able to stand up to BKS Bolesławiec, competing evenly with our team for a long time. After Długosz was shown a red card for kicking an opponent, KS Stare Jaroszowice created several good chances, but Kargul was always on hand. BKS Bolesławiec also had its opportunities, but the shots were saved by the hosts’ goalkeeper. In the 40th minute, Majka put the ball in the net, but the assistant referee signalled offside and we were left disappointed.
The second half was one of BKS Bolesławiec’s clear dominance. Despite playing with fewer players, the team began scoring goals. Graczyk was particularly prolific, finding the back of the opponents’ net four times. Brożyna and Dzięgleski added the other goals, and BKS’s emphatic victory became a fact.
Despite playing two divisions lower, KS Stare Jaroszowice performed very well and especially in the first half deserved to score a goal. Fortunately for us, BKS Bolesławiec looked considerably better in the second half, fulfilled its role as favourite, won confidently and secured a place in the next round of the District Polish Cup.
