A reward for a community police officer, co-financing of a marked official vehicle for officers from the Police Station in Karpacz, and funds for additional police shifts in the town – all of this was allocated from the Karpacz local government budget to improve safety in the town. The Mayor of Karpacz Radosław Jęcek and the councillors understand perfectly that safety in the town is a shared responsibility. The official handover of the vehicle will take place at the beginning of October this year.
On 8 September this year, at the Municipal Office in Karpacz, Mayor Radosław Jęcek presented community police officer asp. Krzysztof Lenczewski with a PLN 400 award, which he was supposed to receive on the occasion of Police Day. However, because of the holiday period, the mayor presented the award on that day, in the presence of the Municipal Police Commander in Jelenia Góra, insp. Zbigniew Markowski, and the Commander of the Police Station in Karpacz, subinsp. Piotr Jurczyk. The community police officer was recognised for exemplary service.
The local government allocated PLN 3,000 for additional police shifts in the town, funds for awards for police officers, and PLN 36,000 to the police support fund for the purchase of a marked Kia Ceed vehicle. The remainder of the funds needed to purchase the car for Karpacz will be provided by the National Police Headquarters. The official handover of the vehicle will take place at the beginning of October this year.
The Mayor of Karpacz and the councillors understand the police’s needs perfectly and support them, as the safety of residents is also important to them.
