The Municipality of Bolesławiec and Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 named after Poles Deported to Siberia are implementing the “Me and the Human World Around Me” project as part of the school’s prevention programme. The project won an open call for proposals under the 2014–2016 government programme “A Safe and Friendly School”, aimed at increasing the effectiveness of educational and preventive measures promoting safety and the creation of a friendly environment in schools and educational institutions in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in 2015. The competition was announced by the Lower Silesian Voivode. The project is worth PLN 39,400.00. The amount of funding is PLN 25,900.00.

The innovative educational and preventive programme “Me and the Human World Around Me”
is intended to deepen and strengthen the school’s educational role.

The proposed programme will include all students and is planned for the entire period of a student’s attendance
at the lower secondary school. In a coherent and consistent manner, it will address issues of identity and interpersonal relationships. Through its structure and method of implementation, it is focused on the continuous development of students’ social competencies, assumes the involvement of students’ entire social environment in the activities, and cooperation with all local institutions willing to participate in its implementation. It is intended to prepare our students to enter the adult world and equip them with social skills that will allow them to find their place as individuals in the reality ahead, while giving teachers confidence that we are properly carrying out our responsibilities.
