According to the police officers’ preliminary findings, the driver of a Mercedes truck, travelling along national road no. 3 (KEN) from the direction of the Castorama store, entered the intersection and collided with a Renault Laguna, which was travelling along Komisji Edukacji Narodowej Street and turning onto Paderewskiego Street. As a result of the incident, the car’s driver and two passengers were taken to hospital.
Firefighters had to remove one of the passengers from the vehicle using specialist equipment. The Mercedes driver was not injured. After receiving medical assistance at the hospital, all those injured were discharged home.
Police officers from the investigative and forensic group and the traffic unit worked at the scene. They conducted a detailed examination of the scene. The proceedings conducted in this case will aim to clarify the circumstances of the road accident.
All the accident participants were sober.
