A 24-year-old woman was taken to hospital following a pile-up that occurred on Friday (4 September) at the intersection of Cieszkowskiego and Modłowa Streets (the bypass). Four passenger cars—two Renaults, an Opel and a Skoda—and a DAF truck were involved in the incident.

According to police findings, the injured woman failed to yield the right of way. The 24-year-old resident of Goliszów (Legnica County) was driving a Renault Scenic. While travelling along the bypass and intending to turn left, she failed to yield to an oncoming Opel Astra and collided with it.

The collision between the Renault and the Opel caused further crashes involving the drivers of a Skoda, another Renault and a DAF truck. A total of five vehicles—four passenger cars and one truck—were involved in the pile-up. The 24-year-old woman, who caused the pile-up, was taken to hospital with a spinal injury. The other participants in the pile-up were uninjured.
