The Friday concert began almost an hour late. Limited Edition, winners of the 2000 competition, were the first to present their songs. Outside, the 2002 winners, performed next. During the concert, excerpts from previous editions of Rock Blok w BOK were shown on the video screen. Unfortunately, only a handful of people were enjoying themselves in front of the stage.
Due to the renovation of the Forum cinema, this year's edition of the competition has a different format. Instead of auditions and a competition, three concerts by previous winners have been scheduled. The event has been divided into several parts. The upcoming concerts will feature, among others, Error, Lusz, Niebo and Heavy Weather.
Limited Edition - Legnica
The band Limited Edition was formed in January 2006. A year after SILENCE broke up, Alicja Zelek (vocals) and Jarek (Jafo) Michalski (guitar) attempted to revive the lineup—but without success. Darek Traczyk (keyboards), Jan Mazurek (bass) and Paweł Kurek (drums) joined the original lineup. That was how it began. After the drummer was replaced twice, the final lineup settled as follows: Alicja Zelek (vocals), Jarek Michalski (guitars), Darek Traczyk (keyboards), Janek Mazurek (bass) and Piotr Zając (drums). The band creates music it describes as progressive rock with elaborate arrangements. Essentially, its entire repertoire consists of original compositions (music by Jarek Michalski and lyrics by Ala Zelek), although the band recently added covers by artists such as David Lee Roth, Dream Theatre and YES.
Outside
The band was formed in spring 1998 in Siedlce. The band plays many concerts. They have performed with the best: IRA, ONA, Perfect, Acid Drinkers and Lady Pank. They have appeared, among other places, at the Rotunda club in Kraków, the Free Radicals motorcycle club in Warsaw and many others. They took part in the recording of a television program for Polish Television's Channel 1. They played at motorcycle rallies, during the finals of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, and at numerous concerts held as part of various events in many Polish cities. In July 2001, the band went to a studio and recorded a demo. Outside won first prize at the 7th National ROCK BLOCK W BOK Music Band Competition in 2002, where the jury (J. Krzaklewski, D. Kozakiewicz and Tytus) awarded the band a recording session in addition to the cash prize. Outside also performed at the birthday celebration of the Rockmetal website. They were finalists at the Ogródki Rockowe Płock 2003 festival.
