On National Education Day, scholarships named after Helena and Wincenty Tyrankiewicz were traditionally presented to the most talented students at I Liceum Ogólnokształcące.

Arkadiusz Tomczuk received a scholarship for achievements in science Olympiads. Magdalena Hundz was honored for her achievements in the Olympiad on knowledge of Poland and the contemporary world. Aleksandra Pawłowska received a scholarship for achievements in arts Olympiads. The fourth scholarship went to the school's graduate, Agnieszka Gawlik. It should be added that Aleksander Tomczuk was also recognized by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland.

The H. and W. Tyrankiewicz distinction has been awarded since 1968 for outstanding academic achievements, both to graduates and students in the school's final classes. This year, each person honored received 700 zlotys.
