For one month (from mid-October to mid-November), an exhibition presenting the most famous historical figures associated with Bolesławiec’s past will be displayed in the partner city of Česká Lípa. The exhibition showcases the history of medieval gold miners and builders, famous poets of the Renaissance, distinguished architects, sculptors and ceramic artists, as well as monks.
The most interesting part of the exhibition is the “Napoleonic epic,” which presents materials about the most famous rulers and commanders, led by Emperor Napoleon. Czech visitors can also read a more extensive commentary in the accompanying publication, which bears the same title as the exhibition. The exhibition is part of the project Cross-Border Historical and Nature Education: “In the Footsteps of Famous Europeans.” Marking out walking routes in Bolesławiec.
