The exhibition by traveller and photographer Arkadiusz Podniesiński features a series of portraits of members of wild African tribes, taken by the author during a six-month expedition around Africa in 2012.

The exhibition brings together images of representatives of various tribes, of different ages and social statuses, who follow different canons of beauty and are shown in their typical clothing and ornaments. For example, Mursi women insert clay plates into their lower lips as little girls; among the Datoga, faces are decorated with tattoos in the form of a network of dots around the eyes; and Himba women are characterised by ochre-coloured skin.

The portraits stand out for their unique atmosphere; the subjects appear proud, differing from stereotypical portrayals of the inhabitants of Africa.
