Both before and after noon, workshop participants attend classes led by the finest artists on the Polish music scene. This year’s teaching staff comprises: Jacek Król, Artur Lesicki, Marek Napiórkowski, Magda Piskorczyk, Tomasz Grabowy, Paweł Serafiński, Aleksandra Sozańska-Kut, Aleksandra Królik, Leszek Cichoński, Jacek Jaguś, Bartosz Łęczycki, Zbigniew Lewandowski and Paweł Ostrowski.
The best workshop participants have the opportunity to receive a prestigious award for the most promising guitarist and bassist. Other young instrumentalists are also recognized. The workshops also include consultations with international musicians and captivating lectures, for example on working together on stage, the history of popular music and finding complete joy in making music.
The results of their work, as well as the lecturers’ talent, can be admired every evening at Gospoda Kruszyna during jam sessions. These musical gatherings are always unique events at which workshop participants present what they have learned. They are also an opportunity to see leading Polish artists, often musical idols, on one stage. Visitors can hear not only classics but also musical improvisations. Admission to the jam session is free.
The same applies to Friday’s workshop-class concert, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Center in Kruszyn. The individual workshop classes will perform.
On Thursday, a traditional Holy Mass with blues accompaniment will also be held.
The culmination and an extremely important part of Blues nad Bobrem is the T. Nalepa Blues Band Review, which will be combined with a concert by star performers. Eight competing bands, last year’s Review winner Po Godzinach Blues Band, as well as Kraków Street Band and Nocna Zmiana Bluesa, will perform on stage. The entire event will take place on the sports field in Kruszyn, and admission to the review and concert is free. It starts at 5:00 p.m., and the concert is held under the patronage of the Mayor of Bolesławiec Municipality.
