During the operation, officers inspected 156 vehicles, including 4 buses and 61 trucks. The result? They seized 13 registration certificates (mainly because of the vehicles’ poor technical condition), fined two truck drivers for improperly securing their loads, and fined 5 for violating working-time regulations.
Fifty-four drivers received fines (19 for exceeding the speed limit). Seven drivers were given warnings.
The main aim of the Truck and Bus operation is to prevent road accidents and eliminate irregularities in international and domestic road transport.
The officers checked:
- the drivers’ sobriety
- compliance with working-time regulations
- proper securing of transported loads
- the technical condition of vehicles.
- The operations will be conducted regularly.
