Despite the need to close the street in the city centre for some time, residents did not feel the inconvenience associated with the modernisation too severely, as it was carried out efficiently and quickly.
As a result, by the end of July drivers can enjoy driving on a solid bituminous surface, while pedestrians can use wide pavements. Most importantly, the paving stones used for their renovation blend in with the historic part of the city.
A handful of technical details
The renovation was carried out within the existing outline of the street and pavements. Vertical signs are still being installed and road markings painted. The investment, funded from the county budget, cost over PLN 262,000. The Powiatowy Zarząd Dróg will soon confirm the quality of the renovation during the official acceptance inspection.
