The incident took place on Sunday, July 26, at around 6:00 p.m. in Lubin municipality. A 56-year-old man decided to drive his 28-year-old daughter and 6-year-old granddaughter to their home in Lubin. After driving 50 meters from his property, he noticed that two men were standing in the middle of the road and a third... was lying in the traffic lane. The men were drinking alcohol there.
The driver stopped in front of them, got out of the car and shouted for the participants in the drinking session to get off the road. This remark greatly angered all three of them. The men ran up to the driver and began grabbing, kicking and punching him. At one point, one of the attackers even choked him. The victim also heard numerous insults, directed at him and his daughter, as well as threats to kill him.
When the attackers stopped beating him, the victim called the police, and the assailants fled toward a nearby forest.
Officers arrested the most aggressive suspect that same day. The other two were apprehended by the uniformed officers the following day.
All three face up to three years in prison. None of them admitted guilt.
