Police officers from the Criminal Division of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra detained a 22-year-old man with no permanent place of residence, staying in Mysłakowice, who is suspected of robbery.

On July 22, the man approached a young man and a woman at an MZK stop in Mysłakowice, provoking them into an argument. The man who was provoked did not respond to the taunts, walked his companion home and returned to the stop. When he boarded the bus, the perpetrator and an accomplice followed him.

Once on the bus, threatening him with a knife, the men demanded that the victim hand over his mobile phone, worth approximately PLN 700. Fearing for his life and health, the victim gave them the phone and approached the bus driver. The perpetrators activated the emergency door-opening mechanism and fled.

The suspect was detained on July 27. It turned out that the man was wanted—he was supposed to go to prison for similar offenses.

The perpetrator currently faces up to 10 years in prison.
