That is why Jelenia Góra police officers are continuing to conduct the preventive campaign entitled “Safe Holidays”, highlighting the dangers that may arise during the holidays and presenting ways to behave safely.
On 19 July 2015, senior warrant officer Danuta Razmysłowicz and senior constable Krzysztof Malinowski—officers of the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra—together with Commissioner Leo promoted safe holiday behavior in a Jelenia Góra café and in one of the cinemas.
Approximately 100 children accompanied by their guardians took part in the meeting with Commissioner Leo. During the meeting, the police officers discussed safe behavior around water, road safety, contacts with strangers, and safety while spending leisure time at home.
The police officers reminded the youngest participants about emergency telephone numbers and the proper response when another person needs help. They also discussed the problem of taking psychoactive substances known as “boosters” and their impact on the human body.
The children actively participated in the meeting and were happy to share their experiences of spending their free time safely. After the meeting, the children received small gifts in the form of reflective accessories.
