The incident occurred on Monday (13 July) on Garncarska Street, near the Millennium Cross. The 37-year-old Bolesławiec resident driving the BMW was travelling from the direction of the cross. The driver failed to adjust her speed to the road conditions, lost control in a skid, crossed into the opposite lane and drove onto the pavement.
The car then hit a 49-year-old woman from Bolesławiec, went down an embankment and damaged the door of a nearby garage. The woman who was hit was taken to hospital. The BMW driver was sober. Police are determining the details of the incident.
Road conditions are difficult. It is raining and the roads are slippery. Together with the police, we appeal to drivers to adjust their speed to the conditions on the roads.
