The Social Insurance Institution therefore asks people to be alert to all electronic correspondence drawing attention to errors in contribution settlements.
This warning is the result of increased activity by people impersonating employees of the Social Insurance Institution. In recent days, a number of entrepreneurs reported strange emails to ZUS, suggesting errors in settlements of contribution liabilities and the need to correct them immediately. The emails were allegedly signed by one of ZUS's directors. In fact, emails from ZUS are sent only to those entrepreneurs who have opted for such contact with their individual adviser at the Institution, and they always bear the adviser's signature.
Therefore, ZUS once again reminds everyone that the Institution's employees do not contact clients by email regarding their individual matters. All the more so, they do not use this method to provide information about possible errors in settlements.
ZUS therefore asks for particular caution if this type of correspondence is received. To avoid problems, do not reply to such correspondence. At the same time, in all matters that raise doubts for our clients, the Institution asks them to contact the ZUS Telephone Customer Service Centre at: 22 560 16 00.
