On Saturday, the next qualifying tournament for the Polish Rugby Championship was held in Kobierzyce. Ten teams took part in the competition. TOP Husar Bolesławiec won first place (12 points). Behind the Bolesławiec team were Arka Rumia (8 points) and RK Rafineria Jasło (5 points). After the tournament in Kobierzyce, TOP Husar Bolesławiec ranks fourth in Poland.
TOP Husar players also received individual awards. Paweł Szydłowski was named the tournament’s best player. Krzysztof Wiatr was named the best forward and back-row player. Both rugby players, along with Jakub Lisiewski and Marek Burniak, were called up to the national team.
The fact that four players from Bolesławiec have joined Poland’s national team should be considered a major success, especially since they were selected by Poland’s rugby coach, Krzysztof Ciesielski. The selector watched the tournament in Kobierzyce. The players called up to the national team will represent our country at an international tournament in Munich.

At the International Rugby Tournament in Munich, TOP Husar Bolesławiec finished fifth. Twenty-three teams from around the world took part in the competition, including teams from the USA, England, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Australia and Fiji, as well as the Poland national team. Four TOP Husar Bolesławiec players represented the national team. After four group-stage victories, Poland lost to England 24:14 in the quarterfinals.
TOP Husar Bolesławiec will soon play in Kraków in the final Polish Championship tournament. Only the 10 best teams from across the country will take part in this competition, selected over several qualifying tournaments from among 49 teams.
