The festival has been held here for 4 years already and attracts crowds of squash enthusiasts from all over Poland every year. Stars of the world squash elite appeared among the competitors, including Gregory Gaultier and Simon Rösner (ranked 3rd and 6th in the world, respectively).
Squashstacja from Bolesławiec, making its debut this season, qualified to participate in the Polish Team Championships. Despite a weakened lineup due to the absence of Stelian Stankov and Niko Angelov, the players achieved great success, taking 12th place among 113 teams from across the country!
“Since this was our debut, preparations for the season were challenging but effective. All the players on our team were committed and focused on one clear goal – to compete in the Polish Team Championships. In the future, we plan to strengthen our team. We will try to repeat our success next season, and perhaps even improve on it,” says Norbert Stolicki, a Squashstacja player, racketlon world champion, and squash coach at the Squashstacja sports club.
He adds: “Squash is becoming one of the leading sports in Bolesławiec. This success may motivate beginners.”
The Squashstacja team players competed in the following lineup: Grzegorz „Tajger” Sowa, Norbert Stolicki, Łukasz Lisiewicz and Marek Elsner.
We are keeping our fingers crossed and look forward to further successes!
