The first call, concerning broken glass, was received by the duty officer at the Lubin police station at around 2:00 a.m. Officers from the prevention department went to the scene. The officers spotted the vandal. He turned out to be a 57-year-old resident of Kamienna Góra County. He was arrested.

The man admitted breaking a window in one of the premises on the Przylesie housing estate, as well as attempting to break a window in the entrance door to a stairwell.

That same night, at around 5:00 a.m., another man was walking from one stairwell to another, striking the glass in the entrance doors of apartment blocks and also damaging parked vehicles. Thanks to the quick response of another Lubin resident, a patrol from the prevention department was immediately dispatched to the scene.

The next vandal turned out to be a 28-year-old resident of Lubin. The man was drunk and very aggressive—the test showed 2 parts per mille of alcohol in his breath. The Lubin resident broke a window in one of the stairwells and damaged the side mirror of one of the parked cars. He was taken to police custody.

Both detainees could face up to 5 years in prison.
