The incident occurred at the end of June in the Piekary housing estate in Legnica. Two young men accosted a passer-by, demanding that he give them a cigarette. When he refused, one of the attackers pulled out a knife and demanded—this time—money. The attacked man began to defend himself. During the struggle, the thug stabbed him in the forearm. The attackers then fled.
The attacked man was taken to a hospital in Legnica. After approximately two hours, police officers detained two young men suspected of carrying out the assault.
What is more, the officers received information that the thugs had previously accosted other people, demanding that they give them cigarettes. These people are asked to contact the Legnica police at the following telephone numbers: 76 876 15 30 and 76 876 15 31.
